This feature is available on select plans. Walkthrough Note is only available on the mobile app.
What will each AI feature do?
Summary
Choose a few photos with photo descriptions, get a summary back. No typing required, just instant context for whoever opens the Project next.
Daily Log
Turn today's photos into today's update, complete with a smart to-do list pulled straight from what still needs to be done. Send it to the office before you're even off site.
Progress Recap
Your Project's details, an AI-written summary, and your photos organized into a real report. Built for the update you send to a customer or manager who wants the full picture, not just a snapshot.
Walkthrough
Talk while you walk, snap photos as you go. CompanyCam writes it up and organizes the photos automatically, so you never have to sit down and type it out later.
Important: Summary, Daily Log, Progress Recap, and Walkthrough all contribute to your AI Credit usage.
On the web
Open a Project and click Documents.
Click + Add and select Create in the dropdown.
Choose your AI feature:
Summary or Daily Log: select it directly from the tiles.
Progress Recap: select More Templates, then navigate to AI Templates and select Progress Recap.
Select the photos you'd like to include, then click Generate.
Once generated, review and make any edits, if needed.
In the app
Open a Project and tap Documents.
Tap the + Icon and tap Document.
Choose your AI feature:
Daily Log or Walkthrough: choose it directly from the tiles.
Summary or Progress Recap: choose More Templates, then navigate to AI Templates and select the one you want.
For Summary, Daily Log, or Progress Recap:
Select the photos you'd like to include, then tap Generate.
Find your Document in the Documents Tab.
For Walkthrough:
Tap Start Walkthrough to take photos while dictating.
Tap Done when finished. It saves to the Documents Tab.
Note: Walkthrough is not a live video. It is a camera session that records your voice while you capture photos. To optimize your output, use the recommended best practices while using this feature.

No, Walkthroughs can only be created in the mobile app.
Can AI Features be used in Offline Mode?
Can AI Features be used in Offline Mode?
AI Features have limited Offline support. The Walkthrough feature is compatible with Offline Mode. If a Project is cached (opened) before going offline, a User can create a new Walkthrough, which will be processed and uploaded once the User regains an internet connection.
The Summary, Daily Log, and Progress Recap features are not compatible with Offline Mode.

You can record up to 15 minutes per Walkthrough.

Can I convert a Walkthrough into a Checklist?
Yes, you can convert a Walkthrough into a Checklist. Once your Walkthrough has been saved in your Project, you can convert it to a Checklist by opening the Document > tapping on the Three-Dots Icon at the top of the screen > and selecting Create Checklist.
What happens if I generate a Document without enough photo descriptions?
What happens if I generate a Document without enough photo descriptions?
If your photos don't have descriptions to work from, the AI feature still generates a Document, just with an empty state instead of AI-written content. You can add your own text at any time.
