Working on a job with another company? Project Collaboration lets you invite them straight into the Project so you're not stuck texting photos back and forth. Both sides can add photos, leave comments, and check off Tasks in one shared place.
This feature is available on select plans.
On the web
Note: Standard, Manager, and Admin Users can invite Collaborators.
Log in to CompanyCam, open the Project you want to collaborate on, and click the Sidebar Icon on the right side if it's collapsed.
Under the Collaborators tab, click the + Circle Icon.
Click Invite a Company to Collaborate.
Note: You'll want to send a separate invite to each company if you'd like to add more than one Collaborator to the Project.
Click Invite, then either Copy to Clipboard to paste the link elsewhere or Send via Email to send it directly.
Important: Invite links expire after 7 days. If a Collaborator hasn't opened the link within that window, send a new invite.
Once you've shared the invite, click No, I'm Done to return to the Project, or send another invite if you're adding more Collaborators.
You'll know a Collaborator has accepted once they show up in the Collaborators section of the Project. Each Collaborator is assigned a color, so you can tell what they've added at a glance.

Open the Project you'd like to invite Collaborators to.
Tap the Menu Icon at the top right of the Project screen.
Scroll down and tap + Collaborators. If the Project already has Collaborators, tap + Add > + Invite a Company instead.
Tap Share Invite to copy the link or send it by text or email.
The invite expires after 7 days. If it isn't accepted in time, send a new one.

Collaborators can see and interact with photos, videos (on select plans), edits and annotations, comments, the Project Conversation, Project Tasks, and Checklists. Both companies can create and interact with each other's Tasks and Checklists, though neither can be assigned to a Collaborator. Completed Tasks and Checklist fields show which User checked them off.

There's no limit to the number of Collaborators you can invite to a Project. Each invite can only be used once, so you'll need a new link per Collaborator.

Only one company can be invited per invite. If you need multiple Collaborators on the same Project, send out multiple invites.

Deleting a photo in an active collaboration removes it for both you and your Collaborator. If a photo is deleted by mistake, it can be recovered from the Project Trash.

Projects that are part of an active collaboration can't be merged. You can merge the Project once the collaboration has ended.

There isn't a single view that lists every Project you share with a Collaborator. You can tell a Project is part of a collaboration by the Building Icon on its Project Card in the Project Feed.

Whether you can add a collaborated Project to a Project Group depends on your role in the collaboration. The owning company (the one that sent the invite) can add the Project to a Project Group. The invited company can't.
