Ending a Project Collaboration

Learn how to end a Collaboration on a Project in CompanyCam and what happens to your photos and files afterward.

Ending a Collaboration removes a company's access to a shared Project, but keeps the work each side has already added.

This feature is available on select plans.

On the web

Log in to CompanyCam and open the Project with the Collaborators you want to manage. Click the expandable Sidebar icon on the right if it's collapsed, then click Collaborators.

Your Collaborators page shows every active Collaborator on the Project.

  1. Click the Three Dot icon next to the Collaborator you want to remove.

  2. Click End Collaboration to remove the collaborating company from the Project.

Note: Admins and Managers can end a Collaboration. If you don't have that role, ask an Admin on your company's account for permission.

In the app

Open the Project with the Collaborators you want to manage, then tap the Menu icon at the top right.

Scroll to the Collaborators section at the bottom of the menu.

  1. Tap the Three Dots icon next to the Collaborator you want to remove.

  2. Tap End Collaboration to remove the collaborating company from the Project.

Note: Admins and Managers can end a Collaboration.

FAQs

What happens to a Project after a Collaboration ends?

Project history stays intact for both parties after a Collaboration ends.

  • All photos and comments your Collaborator added stay in your Project.

  • Your Collaborator keeps a personal copy of the Project in their account, including everything added during the Collaboration.

Once a Collaboration ends, changes stop syncing both ways. Your Collaborator can keep adding to their copy, but you won't see those updates, and they won't see yours.

Can I re-invite a Collaborator after ending a Collaboration?

You can re-invite a previous Collaborator to any Project at any time. Doing so creates a new copy of the Project in their account. Their original, ended Collaboration keeps an "Ended Collaboration" badge so it's easy to tell the two apart.
