Advanced Checklists let your crew follow a checklist that adapts to their responses, with conditional logic, Sections, and reference photos. Build one directly in a Project for a single job, edit one you added from a Template, or save it as a Template to reuse on the next job. To build a Template from scratch, see Building an Advanced Checklist Template.
This feature is available on select plans and is only available on the web app.

Building your Checklist
Build your Checklist the same way you'd build an Advanced Checklist Template: add Sections, add Fields, choose a question type — Yes/No, Rating, Multi-Select, Single-Select, or Text — and require a photo on any Field that needs one. Drag and drop to reorder Sections and Fields as you build.
Create an Advanced Checklist from a Template
Open the Project you want.
Click the Checklists Tab.
Click the + Create Checklist Button.
Click Advanced Template.
Click the Template you want in Advanced Template Library.
Editing a Checklist created from a Template
Note: Only Admins and Managers can edit a Checklist after it’s added from a Template. Standard and Restricted Users can fill it out, duplicate a Field or Section, and delete only the duplicates they added.
Once the Checklist finishes loading in your Project, use the Edit / Use toggle to switch between changing the Checklist and filling it out. A Checklist that already has questions opens in Use.
In Edit, add, update, or delete any Field or Section, including ones that came from the Template. Your changes only affect this Project’s copy. The Template and every other Project that uses it stay the same.
Completing the Checklist
See Completing Advanced Checklists for how to mark Fields complete, add photos, and export to PDF.
Saving a Checklist as a Template
Built a Checklist on a job that’s worth reusing? Save it as a Template so the next crew starts from it instead of a blank page.
Note: Admins and Managers can save a Checklist as a Template.
Open the Checklist in the Project > open the checklist menu > click Save Checklist as Template. The Checklist stays on the Project, and the new Template shows up in your Template library.
The Template keeps the Sections, Fields, conditional logic, and description. Answers, completions, assignments, and response photos stay on the Project Checklist, so the Template starts clean.
If you’ve already saved this Checklist as a Template, we’ll tell you and let you create another anyway. The new Template gets a number in its name, like Title (1) or Title (2), so nothing gets overwritten.
