Create and Use Checklist Templates

Checklists are an important part of CompanyCam and Checklist Templates make it easy to have masters for the checklists you use the most.

Before you start

  • Checklist Templates are not available on Basic or Pro. Upgrade to take advantage of this feature.

  • To create and manage a Checklist Template, you'll need to have the Admin or Manager role. If you don't have that role, ask an Admin on your company's account for permission; here's what they'll need.

Create a Checklist Template

On the web

  1. Log into CompanyCam.

  2. Open the Checklist you'd like to create a Template from. *You can access a Checklist from the Checklists tab from within a Project.

  3. To create the Template, click the Three Dots Icon in the upper right corner of the Checklist, then select Save List as Template.

  4. Title the Checklist Template and select Create New Template.

In the app

  1. Log into CompanyCam.

  2. Tap on the Checklists Tab of the Project and select the Checklist you'd like to create a Template for.

  3. Tap on the Three Dots Icon near the top right corner of the page, and select Save Checklist as Template.

  4. Title the Checklist Template and tap on Save Template.

Using a Checklist Template

On the web

  1. Log into CompanyCam.

  2. Open your Project and click the Checklists Tab.

  3. Select + Create Checklist and then Use Existing Template.

  4. Select the Checklist Template you'd like to use. After selecting your Template, the Checklist will be added to your Project.


In the app

  1. Open the Project you'd like to create a Checklist Template for.

  2. Tap on the Checklists Tab.

  3. Select the blue + Checklist Icon then Use Existing Template.

  4. Select the Checklist Template you'd like to use. After selecting your Template, the Checklist will be added to your Project.

Note: Once a Template has been created from a Checklist, any edits made to that Checklist and saved as a Template will create a new Template. It will not override the previously saved Template.
