CompanyCam Assistant can build an Advanced Checklist Template for you. Describe the Checklist you want, or hand it a file you already use, and the Assistant drafts the Sections and Fields. From there, keep talking to it to add conditional logic, add reference photos, or change what it built.

Ask the Assistant to build a Template
Note: Only Admins and Managers can create and edit Advanced Checklist Templates.
Open the Assistant and describe the Checklist Template you need. The more you tell it about the trade and the job, the closer the first draft lands.
A few requests that work well:
"Build me an Advanced Checklist Template for a roof tear-off."
"Create a Checklist Template for a final walkthrough with a Section for each room."
"Make a Checklist Template for siding installs, and require a photo on every Field."
When the Assistant finishes, a link to the new Template shows up in the chat so you can open it and look it over. The Template also lands in Templates > Checklists.
Build from a file
You don't have to start from a description. If your crew already runs off a paper Checklist, a spreadsheet, or a PDF, give the Assistant that file and ask it to turn it into an Advanced Checklist Template. It reads the file and maps its contents to Sections and Fields.
You can convert Word files (DOC/X), Excel files (XLS/X), PDFs, images, and TXT files.
Click the + Icon and click Attach images, files, or documents to convert any documents you already have ready.
Edit a Template through the Assistant
The Assistant doesn't stop at the first draft. Keep the conversation going and tell it what to change:
"Add a Section for material staging before the tear-off Section."
"If the answer to Deck condition is Damaged, ask for a photo and a note."
"Require a photo on every Field in the Final walkthrough Section."
Conditional logic works the same way it does when you build an Advanced Checklist Template by hand: a follow-up Field appears only when a crew member picks a specific answer.
Add reference photos
Reference photos show your crew what a finished Field should look like. Ask the Assistant to add them, and it will find relevant photos and attach them to the Field for you.
Try: "Add reference photos to the flashing Field from the Miller Street Project."
If you'd rather pick the photos yourself, add them by hand from the Template builder instead.
In the app
Tap the Assistant Icon at the bottom of the home screen.
Tap the Menu Icon in the top right.
Tap + New Chat.
From here, build your Advanced Checklist Template using the same workflow outlined in the web steps.
Important: On mobile, the Assistant won't share a link to the Template once it's ready. It'll give you the title instead, so you can search for it.
