Before you start

What is Jobber?

Jobber is an end-to-end business management system for your home service company. The software handles everything from customer relationship management, quoting, scheduling, job tracking, invoicing, and a whole lot more!

How it works

Anytime that you add a new Property for a Client inside of Jobber a new project in CompanyCam will be created. Then when a Request, Quote, or Job is added for that address the CompanyCam Project's Label will update to "Jobber Request," "Jobber Quote" or, "Jobber Job" and any photos taken in that Project will sync to the matching Request, Quote, or Job. If you add photos to the CompanyCam Project when the record in Jobber is still a Client photo WILL NOT sync over until that record is converted into a Request, Quote, or Job.

If you add a Request, Quote, or Job for a Property that has an existing Project in CompanyCam then a new Project will not be created again. The existing Project will simply update its label to reflect the Request, Quote, or Job you added and new photos taken in that Project will sync to the new entry you just added in Jobber. This way all the photos taken at this address are in one Project in CompanyCam but the photos are separated in Jobber.

If you create a new Request, Quote, or Job for an existing Property in Jobber that IS NOT yet added to CompanyCam a new initial CompanyCam Project will be created.

If you would like photos to sync over right away then you'll need to create a Request, Quote, or Job for that Client's Property. Create one of these from the + Create button or on the jobs page a the top right.

  1. Create a new Client if it hasn't already been created. Then create a new Request, Quote, or Job for that Client and Property.

  2. Fill out any necessary information for that Request, Quote, or Job and hit SAVE.

PLEASE NOTE: Photos on a Jobber entry such as Requests that are converted to a Quote or a Quote converted to a Job WILL NOT automatically pull into the newly Converted Quote or Job. You can check the box in the notes section and this will allow those photos to pull to the converted Entry:

  3. A new project for that property will be created in CompanyCam. If a Project has already been created previously for this property that new Request, Quote, or Job is now the Jobber that will be receiving photos. It will also be labeled letting you know where the photos will be available back inside Jobber (Request, Quote, Job) etc.

Photos taken or uploaded to that CompanyCam project are synced over to the most recent Jobber entry for that property. This applies to both One-off Requests, Quotes, and Jobs as well as reoccurring ones.

  4. You'll see the CompanyCam section just below the Attachment section at the bottom of the page for the Job. Photos are grouped by day in the notes section of a Jobber Request, Quote, Or Job.

Integration Setup

  1. Open CompanyCam. On the left-hand side, under Resources, select Integrations.

  2. Look for the Jobber card under the different Integration options and select it.

  3. Click on Connect.

  4. Choose if you'd like to sync Primary Contacts to CompanyCam and then hit Save.

  5. This will take you to a Jobber screen. Choose Allow Access and sign in to your Jobber account if prompted.

  6. That's it! The integration will now show as connected.

  7. Once the integration is set up you will notice an Update option underneath the integration. If something in your integration isn't working as expected you can select this and it will refresh the integration between the two. You can also Disconnect the Integration below here as well if it ever becomes no longer needed.

Creating a Link to CompanyCam in Jobber with a Custom Field

**Note** You must be on the Connect or Grow plan for Jobber to use custom fields.

CompanyCam will automatically set the URL of the CompanyCam project created from a Property if you have the custom field CompanyCam Project created for properties on Jobber. This allows you to quickly open up the CompanyCam project from the Quotes, Jobs, or Invoice page for that Property.

Steps to enable:

  1. Click the Gear on the top right of the on the home page, and then click Settings.

  2. Go to the "Custom Fields" section in the middle-left sidebar.

  3. Add a new "Property Custom Field" by clicking "+ Add Field"

  4. Enter the information for the custom field exactly as in the screenshot below.

Please Note: Make sure the custom field name is exactly "CompanyCam Project" with a space.

  5. Click "Create Custom Field", and you're done!

Important details about this integration

Connecting existing CompanyCam Projects to new Jobber Entries

If you're a CompanyCam user that is adding Jobber to your workflow, a new CompanyCam Project will be created with the Jobber connection information. To get the photos from the original CompanyCam project into the Jobber project use the Merge Project Tool and be sure to keep the Project created by the Jobber integration.

Linking notes to invoices and deleting

Now that you have the photos imported attachments associated with your Request, Quote or, Job, you can choose to link the note to related invoices. To get this view hover over the photos and the white space around the photos will turn yellow. You'll have the view below. Choose Invoices under "Link note to related" to give a link to the photos in the emailed invoice.
