Adding Guest Access to a Project

Learn how to give someone outside your company access to add photos to a Project, on the web or in the app.

Guest Access lets you invite a homeowner, adjuster, or anyone outside your company to add photos to a Project. Guests don't need a CompanyCam account or the app installed, just the link.

This feature is available on select plans.

On the web

Add Guest Access

Note: Admins, Managers, and Standard Users can add Guest Access.

Open the Project you want to add a Guest to.

  1. Click Share in the upper-right corner, then click Add Guest Access.

  2. Click Add Guest Access again in the Guest Access window.

  3. Type the Guest's email address to find an existing Guest User or create a new one.

  4. Enter the Guest Name and Guest Email. Guest Phone Number is optional.

  5. Set an Access Expiration Date and write a message if you want. Toggle on Allow this guest to view all the photos in this project if the Guest should see more than what they upload.

  6. Click Add Guest.

Your guest will receive an email or text with a link to the Project. They tap the link, verify their email address, and start adding photos.

Edit Guest Access

Note: Admins, Managers, and Standard Users can edit Guest Access.

  1. Open a Project and click Share, then click Add Guest Access.

  2. Click the 3 Dot Icon on the Guest's card and select Edit.

  3. Toggle Allow this guest to view all photos on or off, make any other changes, then click Save Guest.

In the app

Add Guest Access

Note: Open the Customer from inside the Project. Grant Guest Access doesn't appear when you open a Customer from the Customers section on the home screen. The contact also needs an email address saved.

Open the Project you want to add a Guest to.

  1. Tap the Customer's name below the Project address. If the Project doesn't have a Customer yet, tap + Customer and choose or create one.

  2. On the Customer screen, find the contact under Contacts and tap Grant Guest Access.

  3. Tap Grant Access.

The contact's card shows a green Guest Access badge for that Project once it's granted, and the Guest gets an email with a link.

Note: Editing a Guest, setting an expiration date, and giving access to all photos are only available on the web.
