Text Snippets let you save phrases and notes you type repeatedly, then drop them into photo descriptions, Reports, and Pages in seconds. Create them from the Snippets page or directly from where you're working.
On the web
Create Text Snippets
Note: To create, edit, or delete Text Snippets, you need the Admin or Manager role. Ask your account Admin if you need access.
The fastest way to create and manage all your Snippets is from the Snippets page in the Sidebar.
Log in to CompanyCam > click Snippets within the Resources section of the left-hand navigation menu.
Click + Create Snippet in the top-right corner.
Enter a name and the body text for your Snippet.
Click Save when finished.
You can also create a Snippet from within a photo description, Report, or Page. Open the Text Snippet picker from any of those locations, then click + Create New in the pop-up to build one on the spot.
Edit or delete Text Snippets
Note: To edit or delete Text Snippets, you need the Admin or Manager role. Ask your account Admin if you need access.
Log in to CompanyCam > click Snippets within the Resources section of the left-hand navigation menu.
Find the Snippet you want to update. Use the search bar or scroll to locate it.
Click the 3 Dots Icon to the right of the Snippet.
Click Edit to update the name or body text, then click Save. Click Delete Snippet to remove it.
Important: Deleting a Snippet is permanent. It can't be undone.

From a photo description
Open the CompanyCam app and navigate to a Project.
Tap a photo to view it, then tap Add a description.
Tap Snippets.
Tap + Create New Snippet at the bottom of the menu.
Enter a title and body text, then tap Save.
From a Report
Open the CompanyCam app and navigate to a Project.
Open the Documents Tab, then tap the Reports Tab and open your Report.
Tap into a Section Summary or photo description area.
Tap Snippets, then tap + Create New Snippet at the bottom of the menu.
Enter a title and body text, then tap Save.
From a Page
Open the CompanyCam app and navigate to a Project.
Open the Documents Tab, then tap the Pages Tab and open your Page.
Tap the Snippets Icon in the editor.
Tap + Create New Snippet.
Enter a title and body text, then tap Save.

From a photo description
Open the CompanyCam app and navigate to a Project.
Tap a photo to view it, then tap Add a description.
Tap Snippets.
Scroll or search to find the Snippet, then tap the Pencil Icon to edit.
Make your changes and tap Save. To delete, tap the Delete Icon and confirm.
From a Report
Open the CompanyCam app and navigate to a Project.
Open the Documents Tab, tap the Reports Tab, and open your Report.
Tap into a Section Summary or photo description area, then tap Snippets.
Scroll or search to find the Snippet, then tap the Pencil Icon to edit.
Make your changes and tap Save. To delete, tap the Delete Icon and confirm.
From a Page
Open the CompanyCam app and navigate to a Project.
Open the Documents Tab, tap the Pages Tab, and open your Page.
Tap the Snippets Icon, then scroll or search to find the Snippet.
Tap the Pencil Icon to edit, make your changes, then tap Save. To delete, tap the Delete Icon and confirm.

Can Standard or Restricted users create Text Snippets?
Standard and Restricted users can't create, edit, or delete Text Snippets. Those actions require an Admin or Manager role.

Text Snippets can be created in the mobile app from a photo description, a Report, or a Page. There's no dedicated Snippets management page in the app — use the web for bulk management.
What happens when I delete a Snippet?

Deleting a Snippet permanently removes it from your account. It won't affect any text already inserted from that Snippet, but it can't be recovered once deleted.
