Integrating CompanyCam with Microsoft SharePoint

Connect CompanyCam to Microsoft SharePoint to automatically sync new Projects, photos, and files.

This integration copies your CompanyCam Projects to Microsoft SharePoint automatically. Once connected, every new Project you create in CompanyCam builds a matching folder in SharePoint, so your team always has an up-to-date copy of your photos, videos, and files in one shared place.

This integration is available on select plans and is only available on the web app.

What is Microsoft SharePoint?

Microsoft SharePoint is a cloud-based platform where teams store and collaborate on documents. If you're already using SharePoint for other file storage, this integration gives your CompanyCam Projects a home there too, alongside everything else your team keeps in the cloud.

Setting up the integration

Note: Admins and Managers can connect this integration. We recommend using a SharePoint Admin account when you set it up, since that gives you access to every subfolder you may want to sync content to. You'll also need an active Microsoft SharePoint account on a plan that supports this integration.

  1. Click App Marketplace in the left-hand navigation, under Integrations.

  2. Open the Microsoft SharePoint Online card.

  3. Click Connect in the top right corner, then click Connect again on the next screen.

  4. Choose the Site and Library in SharePoint where you want your content to sync, then click Save.

  5. Once saved, you're connected. CompanyCam creates a root folder in SharePoint, and new Projects and content will sync there going forward.

Important: This integration only syncs Projects created after you connect SharePoint. There's no way to sync Projects that already existed in CompanyCam before you set this up.

How it works

Once connected, CompanyCam creates a root folder in SharePoint at the location you chose. Every new Project you create in CompanyCam adds a matching subfolder here, containing that Project's photos, videos, and files.

Projects that sync to SharePoint show a Microsoft SharePoint Online Label in CompanyCam, so you can tell at a glance which Projects are connected. Inside each Project's subfolder, photos and videos sync to a photos folder, and files sync to a documents folder.

Note: You can move any SharePoint folder after it's created. To move your CompanyCam folder, click the gear icon on the folder and choose Move to.

FAQs

Can I sync Projects I created before setting up the integration?

Projects created before you connect the integration will not sync to SharePoint. There's no historic sync available at this time.

Are there additional fees to use this integration?

There are no additional fees for this integration beyond being on a paid CompanyCam plan and having a supporting SharePoint plan.

Does everyone on my team need to set up the integration?

Only one Admin or Manager needs to connect the integration for the whole account. Make sure that person has Admin access in SharePoint so they can reach the folders your team needs.
