Setup
Log in to Beam and click the Settings button next to your company name in the top navigation bar.
Select Integrations.
Click Connect next to CompanyCam. This will take you to the CompanyCam sign-in screen to enter your credentials.
Once connected, you'll see a Linked tag next to the name on Beams side.
All set! You’re now connected!
Please note: Once connected, Beam will import your CompanyCam projects from the last 90 days and check for a match in Beam based on project name and address. If a match is found, projects link automatically. If not, Beam creates a new one. This same process applies to all new projects going forward.
How it works
When a Project is created in CompanyCam, a matching Beam Project is automatically created. Any Photos and Files added to the CompanyCam Project will sync back to the CompanyCam tab within the corresponding Beam Project. From there, you can directly attach those Photos and Files to Estimates, Invoices, and Expenses, making it easy to bring your field documentation into your financial workflows.
Additionally, users can now link or unlink Projects between Beam and CompanyCam. This means you can manually connect an existing Beam Project to a CompanyCam Project (or disconnect it) if needed, giving you more control over which Projects sync content.
In CompanyCam, click the + sign in the left-hand corner bar, then select Create Project.
Enter a Project Name and Address, then click Create Project. This will generate the Project in CompanyCam and automatically create a matching Project in Beam.
Please note: Include a full address when creating your project. Beam only imports CompanyCam projects that have an address, so projects with only coordinates will not be imported. It may also take up to 5 minutes for the Beam project to appear.
After the Project is created, return to CompanyCam and upload Photos and Files to the Project.
The uploaded Photos and Files will automatically sync to the matching Beam Project and can be found in the CompanyCam tab on the left-hand side.
Within this section, you’ll also see a View Project in CompanyCam option, which will take you directly to the Project in CompanyCam.
Once Photos and Files have synced, you can create an Estimate, Invoice, Bill, or Expense within the Beam Project, and then click Add from CompanyCam to attach the synced Photos and Files.
