This Integration allows CompanyCam & Google Calendar to communicate automatically. A Google Calendar event can be fired off directly from a Project inside of CompanyCam and vice a versa! Project info, Customer info, and a Project linkout will all sync to the Event created in Google Calendar!

Before you start

  • You must have an active account with both CompanyCam and Google Calendar in order to integrate the two services.

  • Integrations are not available on Basic. Upgrade your plan to take advantage this feature.

  • This integration is only available via the web version of CompanyCam.

    PLEASE NOTE:

You may want to set up a Calendar specifically for work-related events to use with this integration. All Events created in Google Calendar under the calendar you set up will create Projects in CompanyCam if that is the workflow you use.

What is Google Calendar?

Google Calendar is a powerful time management and Calendar tool. Easily create and edit events and help get everyone on the same page with Google Calendar!

How it works

You will have the option to either create Events in Google Calendar from a CompanyCam Project or create a Project in CompanyCam when a Google Calendar event is added. We will cover both options below!

How to create an event in Google Calendar from a CompanyCam Project:

  1. Create a CompanyCam Project and add any relevant Contact Info.

  2. Next, click on the 3 dots on the top right and click Send to Google Calendar.

This will automatically take you to Google Calendar and prefill the event with the Project info. Make any changes if necessary and then save. Now you are good to go! This event will also have the Project contact info and a URL link out to the CompanyCam Project for easy reference.

How to create a CompanyCam Project from a Google Calendar Event:

  1. Create your event in Google Calendar. The CompanyCam Project title would be the Event name and the address would be the Location added to the event.

  2. Add the name and location and hit save.

  3. A matching CompanyCam Project will be generated with the Matching event name and Location! You can tell the Project came from Google Calendar as it has the yellow Label "Google Calendar" attached.

  4. The Project Linkout to CompanyCam will be available in the linked event in Google Calendar for quick access to the Project!

Setup

There are two different setups depending on the workflow you desire!

How to setup creating an event in Google Calendar from a CompanyCam Project:

There is no traditional Integration setup in this workflow. The "Send to Google Calendar" option in the top right of a Project will be available by default. The first time you use it if you are not signed into Google yet it will prompt you to sign in the first time you select "Send to Google Calendar."

How to set up creating a CompanyCam Project from a Google Calendar Event:

  1. In CompanyCam, click on the integrations tab and find the Google Calendar card.

  2. Select it and then hit Connect.

  3. Next, we will need to grab the info from our Calendar(s) from Google Calendar that we want to create projects in CompanyCam. In Google Calendar go to "My Calendars," find the calendar you want to add.

  4. Select the 3 dots next to the Calendar and then select "Settings and Sharing."

  5. Scroll down to under where it says "Integrate Calendar" And copy the Calendar ID. This will be pasted into the Integration steps in CompanyCam.

  6. Paste the Code(s) and hit save and after you grant Google access to integrate you are good to go! Keep in mind multi calendar support is available just use the correct formatting to separate calendars.
