How to Add Guest Access on Projects

Learn how to give a subcontractor or homeowner Guest Access to a Project so they can add photos without a CompanyCam account.


Guest Access lets you bring in a subcontractor, homeowner, or anyone else outside your company to add photos to a Project. Guests don't need a CompanyCam account or the app installed — they just need the link.

This feature is available on select plans.


Add Guest Access

Admins, Managers, and Standard Users can add Guest Access. If you don't have one of these roles, ask an Admin on your account for help. See Permission Roles Explained for the full breakdown.

  1. Sign in to CompanyCam on a web browser and open the Project you want to add Guest Access to.

  2. Click the Share button in the upper right corner of the page.

  3. Click Add Guest Access from the menu, then click on Add Guest Access in the dialog box that pops up.

  4. Click the Add Guest Access button.

  5. Type in the email address(s) of those you'd like to add for Guest Access.

  6. Add any additional information, choose an Access Expiration Date (if applicable), and add a message if you'd like. Toggle access to allow the guest to view all photos if needed and then click Add Guest.

  7. The person receiving Guest Access will receive an email and/or text message with a link to the Project. They will need to tap the link, verify their email address, and then begin adding photos to the Project!


Editing Guest Access User

Admins, Managers, and Standard Users can edit Guest Access Users. See Permission Roles Explained for the full breakdown.

  1. Open the Project and click Share in the upper-right corner.

  2. Click Add Guest Access.

  3. Click the Three Dots on the guest's card and select Edit.

  4. Toggle view all photos on or off, make any other changes, then click Add Guest.


FAQs

Is there a fee for using Guest Access?

No, there's no cost to give someone Guest Access, and they can add unlimited photos to your Project and make unlimited comments.

Does the person I'm inviting need to have the CompanyCam app installed?

No, they don't. Guests can only access the Project through the link sent to them.

What information can they see through Guest Access?

Guest Access Users can upload photos to the Project and add comments to photos.

They can view all photos within the Project if the share setting is enabled by the Project owner. If this setting is not enabled, they will only see the photos they upload themselves.

Can I send multiple Guest Access invites?

Yes, log in on the web to create additional Guess Access invitations.
