Creating a Project without a Street Address

Learn how to create a Project using GPS coordinates when the job site doesn't have a street address.

Not every job site has a street address. New construction, rural land, and highway or utility work often don't have one yet. You can still create a Project by dropping a pin at the exact GPS location instead of typing an address. This keeps photos and updates tied to the right site from day one, even before it has an address of its own.

On the web

  1. Click + Create in the Project feed.

  2. Select + New Project or Use a Template.

Note: Project Templates are available on select plans. Upgrade your plan to use them.

  3. Use the Project Address panel on the left to zoom into the general area. Search a highway name, intersection, or nearby business to get close.

  4. Drag the pin to the exact location for the Project.

  5. Edit the Project details on the right, then click Create Project.

In the app

  1. From the home screen, tap the + button, then tap Create Project.

  2. Move the map around until the pin sits exactly where the Project is located, then tap Confirm.

  3. Edit the Project details as needed, then tap Create Project at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Start taking or uploading Project photos.
