A Gallery is a set of photos you hand-pick and send; a Timeline is a live link that keeps updating as you shoot. Either one opens in a browser with no account and no app, so the person just clicks and sees your work.

A Gallery is the fastest way to put job photos in a customer's hands. Select the shots you want, click Share, and CompanyCam hands you a link you can drop in a text, an email, or a post. Whoever opens it sees just those photos, branded to your company, and can download the whole set in one tap. No account, no app, no zipping files or burying someone under a dozen separate texts.

A Gallery is a snapshot. It shows the photos you picked, the way they looked when you shared them. That makes it the right call for a specific set of work: the finished job, the damage before you started, a batch for the adjuster, or your best shots to post and land the next one.

You can include photo details like who took it, when, and where, or add descriptions when that context helps the person on the other end.

A Timeline is a live link to all Project photos that updates itself as new photos. Share it once, and every new photo you take shows up for the customer automatically, in the order you shot them. You never resend anything. They refresh and see exactly where the job stands.

Like a Gallery, it opens in a browser with no account. The difference is that a Timeline is ongoing, not a snapshot. It's built for keeping someone in the loop while the work is happening, so a customer can follow progress without calling you for an update or driving out to the site.

Rule of thumb: Gallery for a set of photos, Timeline for the whole job as it unfolds.

When you want your best work seen by anyone, not just the person you sent a link to, that's a Showcase on your Portfolio Site, which is public by design. Galleries and Timelines are for sharing a job with the people working on it.
