Creating Page Templates

Learn how to create a reusable Page Template, and how to add a branded header or footer so every Page matches your company's look.

Pages Templates let you save a Page layout and reuse it across Projects. Set one up once for daily logs, job-site reports, close-out docs, whatever your crew runs on and apply it in seconds instead of starting from scratch every time.

This feature is available on select plans. Creating and managing Templates is only available on the web.

On the web

Create a Page Template within a Project

Note: Only Admins and Managers can create Pages Templates.

  1. Open the Project you're working on.

  2. Click Documents and open the Page you'd like to create a Template for.

  3. To create the Template, click the 3 Dots Icon in the upper-right corner of the Page, then choose Save as New Template.

  4. Title your new Template and click Save.

Create a Pages Template within the Templates Library

  1. Click Templates within the left-hand navigation menu under Resources.

  2. Navigate to Pages.

  3. Click + Create Page Template.

Add a branded header or footer

Add your logo or company info to the top or bottom of a Page Template so every Page built from it looks consistent.

  1. Open the Template and click into the header or footer area.

  2. Click Replace with Image to upload your own logo or branding, or click + Insert Field to add dynamic info instead, like your Company Logo, Company Name, or Project Name.

  3. Turn on Hide on Page 1 if you don't want the header or footer to show up on the first page.

Once you apply the Template to a Page, the header or footer carries over automatically, so every document your crew builds stays on-brand.

In the app

  1. Open a Project and tap on the Documents Section.

  2. Tap the Page you'd like to create a Template for.

  3. Tap the 3 Dots Icon in the top right corner of the Page and, from the menu and select Save Page as Template.

  4. Give your Template a title and tap Save.
