Create and Use Pages Templates

Pages are a useful tool in CompanyCam, and Pages Templates make it easier to quickly add your commonly used Pages to multiple Projects.

Before you start

Plan Requirements:

  • This feature is available on select plans. If you’re interested in access, our team is available to help walk you through your options.

Permission Role:

  • To create and manage a Pages Template, you'll need to have the Admin or Manager role. If you don't have that role, ask an Admin on your company's account for permission.

  • All permission roles can apply a Pages Template to a Project.

Platform Availability:

  • Managing Pages Templates is only available on the Web.

On the web

Create a Pages Template

  1. Log in to CompanyCam.

  2. Open the Project you're working on.

  3. Click on the Pages Tab and open the Page you'd like to create a Template for.

  4. To create the Template, click on the Three Dots Icon in the upper-right corner of the Page, then click Save as New Template.

  5. Title your new Template and click Save.

Using a Pages Template

  1. Open your Project and click on the Pages Tab.

  2. Click + Create Page and then Use Existing Template.

  3. Here you can view your recently used Templates and filter by Your Company Templates, Example Templates, and AI Templates. Click on the Template you'd like to use.

  4. After making a selection, you'll see a preview of the Template. Click Use Template.

  5. A Table of Contents stays pinned on the side so you can jump around long documents without scrolling.

Using a Template from a Blank Page

  1. Under the Pages Tab, click Create Page, then click Blank Page.

  2. Once your new Page is open, you can choose from recommended AI generated templates like Report, Daily Log, or Summary. Select More Templates to see other options.

    Note: To create a blank Page without using a Template, you can begin editing the Page, and the Template options will disappear.

  3. By selecting More Templates, you can view your recently used Templates and filter by Your Company Templates, Example Templates, and AI Templates. Click on the Template you'd like to use.

  4. From here, you'll see a preview of the Template you selected. Click Use Template.

  5. Now the Template you selected will be applied to the Page.

Create a Page Template within the Templates Library

  1. Click Templates within the left-hand navigation menu under Resources.

  2. Navigate to Pages, then select + Create Page Template.

  1. Open a Project and tap on the Documents Section.

  2. Tap on the Pages Tab and select the Page you'd like to create a Template for.

  3. Tap on the Three Dots Icon in the top right corner of the Page.

  4. From the menu, tap Save Page as Template.

  5. Give your Template a title and tap Save Template.

Using a Pages Template

  1. Open the Project and tap on the Documents Section.

  2. Tap on the + Button at the bottom of the page.

  3. Tap the Page option from the slide-up menu.

  4. Choose Use a Template.

  5. Tap on the Pages Template you'd like to use from your Template Library. After selecting your Template, the Page will be added to your Project.

  6. From here, you'll see a preview of the Template you selected. Tap Use.

  7. Now the Template you selected will be applied to the Page.

Using a Template from a Blank Page

  1. Open the Project and tap on the Documents Section.

  2. Tap on the + Button at the bottom of the page.

  3. Tap the Page option from the slide-up menu.

  4. Then, tap on New Page.

  5. A new Page will open, and from here, you can choose to use the Report or Daily Log AI Template, or for more options, select More Templates.

  6. Here you can filter by Your Company Templates, Example Templates, and AI Templates. Tap on the Template you'd like to use and it will automatically populate on your Page.

FAQs

Can videos be saved within a Pages Template?

No. Videos cannot be saved within a Pages Template.
