How to Upload and Use Project Documents

Project Documents allow you to add commonly used documents to your projects.

Before you start

  • Project Documents are not available on Basic or Pro. Upgrade your plan to take advantage of this feature.

  • You can upload .pdf,.doc,.docx,.xls,.xlsx,.csv,.txt,.jpg,.jpeg,.png, and .numbers files. File size must be 100 MB or less.

  • To upload and manage Project Documents, you'll need to have the Admin or Manager role. If you don't have that role, ask an Admin on your company's account for permission; here's what they'll need.

  • Standard Users can add the existing Project Documents to Projects.

  • Managing Project Documents is only available on the web app.

How to Upload a Project Document

  1. Log in to CompanyCam.

  2. Click Templates on the left-hand navigation bar to open the Template Manager.

  3. Click on the Documents Tab and select + Add Document.

  4. Click and drag your Document(s) into the page and they will upload into the Template Manager.

How to Add a Project Document to a Project

  1. Open the Project that you'd like to add a Company Document to.

  2. Click on the Documents Tab.

  3. Click on + Upload Documents and select Use Existing Template.

  4. Select the Box Icon to the left of the Project Documents you'd like to add.

  5. Click on Add to Project and the file(s) will immediately save to the Project.

Now that you've uploaded a project document, here's how you can add it to a project template.
