Before you start
You can upload .pdf,.doc,.docx,.xls,.xlsx,.csv,.txt,.jpg,.jpeg,.png, and .numbers files. File size must be 100 MB or less.
To upload and manage File Access, you'll need to have the Admin or Manager role. If you don't have that role, ask an Admin on your company's account for permission; here's what they'll need.
On the web
Upload Files
Sign in to your CompanyCam account.
Select the Project you'd like to add the File to.
Once you are in the Project, click Files.
Once you have opened the Files Tab, click + Add Files.
Click on the From Computer drop-down option.
Next, drag and drop or click and select the File from your computer.
Manage File Access
Select the Project you'd like to manage File Access in.
Once you are in the Project, click on the Files Tab.
Once you have clicked the Files Tab, click the Three Dots Icon next to the File you'd like to manage access to.
Click Manage Access.
Select a File Access Level and then click Save.
Sort Files
Your Files are automatically ordered from most recently added to least recently added. On the web, you can change the way your Files are sorted within a Project. This is currently not available in the mobile app. Note: Re-ordering your Files list will only affect your view on the web. The view for other Users on your account will not be affected.
Sign in to your CompanyCam account.
Select the Project you'd like to organize your Files in.
Once you are in the Project, click on the Files Tab.
To sort your Files, click File Name, Date Added, OR File Type. If the arrow points up in that section, your Files are sorted in ascending order (A to Z, earliest to latest).
If the arrow points down, the order is descending (Z to A, newest to oldest).
If both up and down arrows are present, the Files are not being sorted by that section.
In the app
Upload Files
Open the Project you'd like to add a File to.
Tap the Documents Tab.
Next, tap on the + Button at the bottom of the page.
Tap Upload, or Scan.
Scanning your File
Hover your camera over the File you'd like to scan and rename the file if needed. The camera will show a blue rectangle over the File on your screen as it analyzes it. The rectangle will turn green once the Document image has been captured.
Tips for scanning a File: Make sure you have good lighting and that the File is placed on a flat surface. If possible, have the File on a surface that is of a darker color to help enhance the light quality of the File's image.
Edit the File as needed and tap Save.
Scan additional Files or tap Save PDF.
Your File should now show up under the Files Tab within your Project's Documents section.
Manage Document access
Open your Project and tap on the Documents Section.
Tap Files, then open the File you'd like to manage access to.
Tap on the Three Dots Icon in the top right-hand corner.
Within the slide-up menu, tap Manage Access.
Select a Document Access Level and tap Save.
Now that you've uploaded Documents to your Project, check out how to convert your Document to a Checklist.
