Connecting CompanyCam to Teamup

Learn how to connect your Teamup calendar to CompanyCam so field teams can turn Teamup events into CompanyCam Projects.

Teamup is calendar and scheduling software that lets teams share plans, coordinate events, and color-code calendars for projects and resources. Connecting it to CompanyCam links a Teamup calendar to your account, so your team can turn a Teamup event into a CompanyCam Project right from the mobile app. This article covers connecting your Teamup calendar to CompanyCam. For what syncs and how your team uses it day to day, see Using the CompanyCam + Teamup Integration.

This integration is available on select plans and is only available on the web app.

Setting up the integration

Note: You must have Admin or Manager permissions in both CompanyCam and Teamup to set up this integration.

  1. Go to your Teamup Calendar.

  2. Click the blue Menu icon in the top right, then click Settings.

  3. Click Sharing.

  4. Click Create Link.

  5. Name the link anything you'd like. This is just a label — "CompanyCam Integration" works fine if nothing else comes to mind. It doesn't affect how the connection works.

  6. Under Basic permissions, set access to Modify. CompanyCam needs Modify access to create and update linked events — a lower permission level will prevent the connection from working.

  7. Click Save.

  8. Copy the ID at the end of the link, after https://teamup.com/. Copy only that ending ID, not the full URL — pasting the whole link instead of just the ID will cause the connection to fail. This is your Teamup Calendar Link.

  9. Log in to CompanyCam.

  10. In the left-hand navigation, under Integrations, click App Marketplace.

  11. Search for Teamup, then click the card.

  12. Click Connect.

  13. Paste the ID you copied into the Calendar field.

  14. Click Save. A "Connected" status on the Teamup card confirms the connection succeeded.

FAQs

What Teamup plan do I need?

You need Teamup's Business Plan to connect this integration.

Why does CompanyCam need Modify access in Teamup?

CompanyCam needs Modify access to create and update the events it links to. Setting the shared link's Basic permissions to anything lower than Modify will prevent the connection from working.

What if I paste the full Teamup URL instead of just the ID?

Pasting the full URL instead of the ending ID will cause the connection to fail.

Copy only the characters after https://teamup.com/, not the entire link.

How do I disconnect Teamup from CompanyCam?

Go to App Marketplace, open the Teamup card, then click Disconnect.

Reconnecting later requires pasting your Teamup Calendar Link ID again.
