CompanyCam's Google Calendar integration keeps scheduling and job documentation in sync by letting you create Google Calendar events from CompanyCam Projects, or create Projects from Google Calendar events.
This integration is only available on the web app
Before using either workflow below, connect your CompanyCam account to Google Calendar. See Connecting CompanyCam to Google Calendar for setup steps.
How the integration works
The integration syncs CompanyCam Projects and Google Calendar events in one direction at a time — you choose which:
Project → Calendar: Creating an event from a Project uses the Project as the source of truth. The event is pre-filled with the Project's info, and you can edit it before saving.
Calendar → Project: Creating a Project from a calendar event uses the event as the source of truth. The event's title becomes the Project name, and the event's location becomes the Project address.
Only events on calendars you've selected in your integration settings can create Projects. Each created record gets a link back to its source, so you can jump between the Project and its event.
Choose one sync direction
Use only one of these workflows at a time. Running both at once can create duplicate Projects.
Send a Project to Google Calendar — no additional setup needed.
Create a Project from a Google Calendar event — requires connecting the integration and selecting at least one calendar.
Send a Project to Google Calendar
Open the Project and add any contact info you want included on the event.
Click the three-dot icon in the top-right corner, then click Send to Google Calendar.
Google Calendar opens with the event pre-filled with the Project's info. Make any changes, then click Save.
The event includes the Project's contact info and a link back to the CompanyCam Project.
Create a Project from a Google Calendar event
In one of your selected calendars, create a new event. The event title becomes the Project name, and the event location becomes the Project address.
Click Save.
CompanyCam creates a matching Project with the event's name and location. A Google Calendar label appears on the Project.
The linked Google Calendar event also gets a link back to the new Project for quick reference.
Sync only specific events
By default, any event on a selected calendar creates a Project. To limit which events sync, create a dedicated calendar in Google Calendar and select only that one in your integration settings.
In Google Calendar's left sidebar, click the + next to Other calendars.
Click Create new calendar.
Name the calendar (for example, "CompanyCam Projects") and click Create calendar.
In CompanyCam, revisit the integration settings and select this new calendar. See Connecting CompanyCam to Google Calendar.
Only events on the calendar(s) you select will create Projects.
What syncs

FAQ
Why do I have duplicate Projects?
Why do I have duplicate Projects?
Duplicate Projects usually happen when both workflows are turned on at once. Stick to one direction: either send Projects to Google Calendar, or create Projects from Google Calendar events, not both.
Why didn't my event create a Project?
Why didn't my event create a Project?
Check that the event was added to a calendar you selected when connecting the integration. Events on calendars you didn't select won't create Projects.
Can I select more than one calendar?
Can I select more than one calendar?
Yes. You can select as many calendars as you want when connecting the integration.
What happens if I disconnect and reconnect?
What happens if I disconnect and reconnect?
Disconnecting stops new syncing but doesn't delete existing Projects or events. When you reconnect, you'll need to select your calendars again.
