Connecting and Using CompanyCam with REIS

Learn how to connect CompanyCam to REIS so REIS creates matching Projects automatically and lets you attach CompanyCam photos and videos to your project emails.

Restoration Estimating & Invoicing Solutions (REIS) is estimating and invoicing software built for restoration companies, covering everything from scope forms to signatures. Connecting CompanyCam to REIS links each User's accounts, so opening the CompanyCam logo inside a REIS project creates a matching Project in CompanyCam and gives you a direct path to add job site photos and videos. You'll need an active account with both CompanyCam and REIS to connect them.

This integration is available on all plans and is only available on the web app.

How the integration works

Each User connects their own CompanyCam login inside their REIS account, under REIS's Integrations settings. Once connected, opening a REIS project and clicking the CompanyCam logo creates a matching Project in CompanyCam the first time you do it for that job, and reopens the same Project every time after.

Photos and videos you capture in CompanyCam — through REIS or through the CompanyCam app — stay in that Project, and REIS lets you attach a link to those photos and videos when you send an email from the project.

Setting up the integration

Note: You need the Admin or Manager role in CompanyCam to connect the integration.

  1. Log in to your company's main CompanyCam account.

  2. Click the Team tab in the left-hand navigation.

  3. Click + Invite Users in the upper-right corner.

  4. Fill in the new User's information and click Review Invite.

  5. Once a User receives their invitation email, they'll create their own CompanyCam login and password. They'll use this same login on the CompanyCam website and mobile app.

Link CompanyCam to each REIS account

Each User repeats these steps in their own REIS account:

  1. Log in to your REIS account.

  2. Click the Settings tab in the top dashboard.

  3. Click the Integrations tab in the left dashboard.

  4. Click CompanyCam Authorization.

  5. Enter your individual CompanyCam email and password.

  6. Select Remember Me so you don't have to sign in again each time you open CompanyCam through REIS.

  7. Click the blue Sign In button. Once connected, the status changes from Linked No to Linked.

Adding and sharing CompanyCam photos in REIS

Note: Before you start, make sure the Owner/Insured Name and Project Location Address are filled in on the REIS project.

  1. Create a new project in REIS, or open an existing one.

  2. Click the CompanyCam logo in the right-hand dashboard.

    • On a desktop or laptop, this opens the CompanyCam website in a new tab.

    • On a tablet, it opens the CompanyCam website in a new tab and also gives you the option to open the CompanyCam app if it's installed.

  3. The first time you click the CompanyCam logo inside a REIS project, REIS automatically creates a matching Project in CompanyCam. Every click after that opens the same Project.

  4. Add photos to the Project any time through REIS by clicking the CompanyCam logo, or add them directly through the CompanyCam app on your phone or tablet.

  5. When you send an email from a REIS project, you can attach a link to that project's CompanyCam photos and videos.

Note: When you click the CompanyCam logo in step 2, allow pop-up windows for REIS and CompanyCam in your browser, or the new tab won't open.

FAQs

Who needs the Admin role for the REIS integration?

You need the Admin role to start integrating CompanyCam and REIS, since it starts with inviting Users to your CompanyCam account. Each User then connects their own REIS account, which doesn't require any specific role.

Does connecting to REIS automatically create a CompanyCam Project?

REIS automatically creates a matching CompanyCam Project the first time you click the CompanyCam logo inside a REIS project.

Can I connect the REIS integration from my phone or tablet?

Connecting CompanyCam to REIS is only available on the web app. Once connected, tablet users get the option to open the CompanyCam app when adding photos through REIS.

Why won't the CompanyCam tab open when I click the logo in REIS?

Check that pop-up windows are allowed for both REIS and CompanyCam in your browser. REIS opens CompanyCam in a new tab, and a pop-up blocker can prevent that tab from loading.
