Viewing and Adding Weather Conditions

See the current weather at your Project’s location, right from your phone, and drop those conditions into a Document for your records.

Turn on Weather Conditions once, and the current temperature shows at the top of every Project. From there, you can view the full conditions or add them straight into a Document.

This feature is only available on the mobile app.

Turn on Weather Conditions

Important: This setting is User-specific. Each User who wants to see Weather Conditions needs to turn it on in their own app.

  1. Open the app and tap the hamburger icon (≡).

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Tap Preferences.

  4. Tap Location.

  5. Tap Weather.

  6. Toggle on Show current weather conditions on projects.

  7. Choose US Standard or Metric for your units.

View the Weather Conditions on a Project

Open any Project. If the Weather Conditions setting is turned on, the current temperature appears at the top of the screen.

Tap the temperature to open the full conditions: temperature, wind, precipitation, humidity, and what it feels like.

Add Weather Conditions to a Document

  1. Open a Document.

  2. Tap the 3 dots icon.

  3. Tap Add Weather Conditions.

CompanyCam adds a weather block to the Document with the same 5 readings.

This block is a snapshot. It shows the conditions from the moment you added it and won’t update later, even if the weather at the project changes.

FAQs

Why don’t I see the weather when my coworker does?

Weather Conditions is a per-User setting, so switching it on for yourself doesn't switch it on for anyone else. Walk through the steps above on your own device.

Can I see a forecast, or what the weather was last week?

Weather Conditions show what it’s like right now. There’s no forecast and no history.

Does the weather in my Document keep updating?

The Weather Conditions block is a snapshot taken the moment you add it, so a Document from last week will still show last week’s conditions.

Does weather work without a signal?

Weather needs a connection to pull fresh conditions, but CompanyCam caches what it already has. Open the Project while you've still got signal and the conditions stay on screen after it drops.

Can Project Collaborators use the weather feature?

Yes, Collaborators can turn the weather setting on in their own device.
