Using the CompanyCam + Hover Integration

Learn how photos, measurement reports, and property documents sync from Hover to your CompanyCam Projects.

Before getting started, make sure you've already connected your CompanyCam and Hover accounts. Once connected, starting a Project in Hover automatically creates a matching Project in CompanyCam, and your photos and reports sync over as you capture them.

This integration is available on select plans and can only be managed on the web app.

How the integration works

This integration works with both single- and multi-structure Projects. You'll start in the Hover app by creating an interior or exterior Project and capturing the required photo set — at least 8 photos. As soon as those photos are captured, Hover creates a matching Project in CompanyCam. That means your CompanyCam Project exists earlier in your workflow, so you or your crew can start adding notes, checklists, and other job site documentation before Hover finishes generating its report.

Photos captured in Hover sync to the matching CompanyCam Project as soon as they're available. Any interior or exterior measurement reports, along with additional structure documents, sync to the Files tab of that Project.

If you add additional structures inside a Hover Project, they'll appear within the same CompanyCam Project. Each structure generates its own file in the Files tab, so you don't end up with a separate Project for every structure.

On the web

On the web, you can open the Hover Project and invite a Homeowner or Teammate to add extra Photos to your Project.

  1. In Hover, open your Project and click Share.

  2. Select Homeowner or Pro (Teammate) and fill in their email, name, phone number, and add a message if you'd like.

  3. Once everything is filled out, click Send.

In the app

  1. Open the Hover app and tap the + Icon at the bottom to start a new interior or exterior Project.

  2. Select Interior Measurements or Exterior Measurements.

  3. Enter the Property Name and Address, pick a Deliverable, then tap Get Started.

  4. Capture up to 8 photos of the property. Hover needs this photo set to generate the report.

  5. Tap Add Photo to include extra photos for your records — these won't affect the 3D model — or tap Continue to move on.

  6. Tap Finish.

  7. You'll see the Project appear in Hover, and CompanyCam automatically creates a matching Project while the report generates.

  8. While the report is generating, open the Hover Project from within CompanyCam to add photos or other content to the Project.

  9. This lets you and your crew add photos or other content to the CompanyCam Project while the Report is being generated.

  10. Once the report finishes, you'll find it in the Files Tab of the CompanyCam Project, under Documents.

FAQs

When does the CompanyCam Project get created?

A CompanyCam Project is created as soon as you capture the required photo set (at least 8 photos) for a new Hover Project, even before Hover finishes generating the report.

Do multiple structures create multiple Projects?

No. Additional structures added inside a Hover Project appear within the same CompanyCam Project. Each structure generates its own file in the Files tab.

Can I add photos or notes to the CompanyCam Project while the Hover report is generating?

Yes. Open the Hover Project from within CompanyCam and add photos, notes, checklists, or other documentation while the report processes in the background.

Does content added directly in CompanyCam sync back to Hover?

No. Syncing only flows from Hover to CompanyCam. Photos and files added directly to a CompanyCam Project won't appear in Hover.
