ContractorHUB is an operating system built for home service contractors. Connecting it to CompanyCam links your CompanyCam Projects to ContractorHUB job records, so field photos and project data flow between the two platforms without manual uploads or downloads. This article covers how to connect the integration, what syncs, how to manage settings, and how to disconnect.
Connecting this integration is only available on the web app.
How the integration works
When CompanyCam and ContractorHUB are connected, 3 things sync between the platforms:
Projects sync bidirectionally, so job records in ContractorHUB are automatically tied to their corresponding CompanyCam Project.
Photos and videos captured in CompanyCam sync into the ContractorHUB job file. Photos taken or uploaded in ContractorHUB also push back to CompanyCam.
Users sync between platforms so the right people have access to the right job data.
Connecting the integration
Note: Only Admins and Managers can connect integrations. See User Permission Roles Explained for more details.
In ContractorHUB, click your Profile Icon > Integrations, search for CompanyCam, and click Connect.
When prompted for your API token, open a new tab and log in to CompanyCam.
In the left-hand navigation, click Integrations, then click Access Tokens.
Under Application Keys, click New Application Key.
In the Application field, select ContractorHUB.
Confirm the Name field shows ContractorHUB, or type it in.
Add an optional description.
Under Permissions, choose Read & Write.
Leave Expiration set to No expiration so the key doesn't cut off the sync down the road.
Click Create token, then click Copy to copy the new key.
Go back to ContractorHUB, paste the token into the API token field, and click Submit.
Click Start Initial Sync.
Managing sync settings
Once connected, go to your Company Dropdown > Integrations > CompanyCam in ContractorHUB to manage the following settings.
Auto-match threshold controls how closely a CompanyCam Project address must match a ContractorHUB job address to link automatically.
Note: A high threshold is recommended to avoid incorrect matches between Projects and jobs.
Two-way sync lets photos and jobs added in ContractorHUB push back into CompanyCam. This is off by default.
Photo sync frequency sets how often ContractorHUB checks for new or changed photos. The default is every hour.
Note: Setting the default sync frequency to less than 1 hour isn't recommended for accounts with a large volume of photos.
Matching unmatched Projects
After the initial sync, any CompanyCam Projects that couldn't be auto-matched to a ContractorHUB job will appear as a banner in your project pipeline.
Click Connect CompanyCam Photos to review them.
Select the Projects you want to import and click Create from Selected, or click Select All to import everything at once.
Imported Projects are added as new leads and require contacts, team members, and statuses to be assigned manually.
Once a Project is linked, you can click Sync CompanyCam from within any Project to pull in the latest photos on demand.
Note: If you need support integrating or have any issues with the integration, reach out to ContractorHUB's support team at [email protected].
