How to Clock In/Out for Time Tracking (Beta)

Easily track and document your on-site hours for projects right in the mobile app.

Before you start

Plan Requirements:

  • This feature is currently in a closed Beta. Access to this beta, pricing, and plan availability are subject to change.

  • This feature is available on select plans. If you’re interested in access, our team is available to help walk you through your options.

Permission Roles:

  • All User Permission Roles can access Time Tracking in the mobile app and web app.

  • Restricted Users can only access Time Tracking for the Projects they've created or have been assigned to.

Platform Availability:

  • Time Tracking is available on both web and mobile apps.

On the web

Create a new time entry

  1. Click Time Tracking on the left-hand sidebar.

  2. Click + New Entry at the top right of the page.

  3. Enter the required information, including your Start Time and End Time, then click Create Entry.

Delete a time entry

  1. Click Time Tracking on the left-hand sidebar.

  2. Select the time entry you’d like to update and click the Three Dots Icon next to the entry.

  3. Click Delete.

Edit a time entry

  1. Click Time Tracking on the left-hand sidebar.

  2. Select the time entry you’d like to update.

  3. Click the Three Dots Icon next to the entry and click Edit.

  4. Make updates, then click Save.

In the app

  1. From the Home screen, tap Time Tracking.

  2. Tap the + Icon.

  3. Enter the required information, including your Start Time and End Time, then tap Save.

  4. Your time entry will appear on your time sheet.

Create a time entry with a photo

  1. Tap the + Icon at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Tap Clock In.

  3. Tap either Select a Project or No Project, which will prompt you to Take a Clock-in Photo or Skip.

  4. After clocking in, the Tracking Time Icon will appear at the top of the Home screen. Tap the Time Tracking Icon to clock out.

  5. Tap the Stop Icon.

  6. Tap Take a Clock-Out Photo or Skip.

View your Time Sheet

  1. From the Home screen, tap Time Tracking.

  2. View your recorded time entries.

Edit a Time Entry

  1. From the Home screen, tap Time Tracking.

  2. Tap on a recorded time entry.

  3. Make your changes and tap Save.

Delete a Time Entry

  1. From the Home screen, tap Time Tracking.

  2. Tap on a recorded time entry.

  3. Tap the Trash Icon at the top right of the screen.

  4. Tap Delete.

FAQs

Will users get reminders to clock in or out?

Yes. Push reminders are sent only to crew members who haven't already clocked in or out. There are also long-running timer alerts to catch forgotten clock-outs, and a midnight auto-stop as a last line of defense.

Can an admin fix a missed clock-in for an employee?

Yes. Admins and Managers can add, edit, and reassign entries in a few clicks — no need to track the employee down.

Can data be exported?

Admins and Managers can download a CSV export formatted for payroll handoff.
