Connecting and Using CompanyCam with NiceJob

Learn how to connect CompanyCam to NiceJob so tagged photos and contact info sync automatically to trigger review invites and Stories page content.

CompanyCam connects with NiceJob, an all-in-one reputation marketing platform that automates review generation, referrals, and social content. Connecting your accounts lets you send job site photos straight from CompanyCam into NiceJob, where they're paired with a review invite for your customer. You can also connect a supported CRM so new customers and photos flow into both platforms automatically.

This feature is only available on the web app.

How the integration works

You connect your CompanyCam and NiceJob accounts from NiceJob's Apps page. Once connected, tagging a photo in a CompanyCam Project with NJReview sends that photo, along with your customer's saved contact information, to your NiceJob Stories page. NiceJob then uses the most recently tagged photo to start a review invite for that customer.

If you also connect a supported CRM to both CompanyCam and NiceJob, new customer records can create matching CompanyCam Projects and trigger review invites automatically without manual tagging steps. See Automating review invites with a connected CRM below for that workflow.

Setting up the integration

Note: Admins can connect CompanyCam with NiceJob.

  1. Click Connect on the CompanyCam listing.

  2. Log in to your CompanyCam account when prompted.

  3. From here, you're connected.

Note: If you need support integrating or have any issues with the integration, reach out to NiceJob at [email protected] or NiceJob's Help Center.

Automating review invites with a connected CRM

CompanyCam connects with NiceJob's supported CRM integrations, including Jobber, Housecall Pro, HubSpot, JobTread, QuickBooks, ServiceMinder, and Markate, as well as any app available through Zapier.

Important: Check the Sync Primary Contacts to CompanyCam box before connecting. This box is unchecked by default.

You can also connect NiceJob to your CRM through Zapier and connect that same CRM to CompanyCam through Zapier.

Once your CRM is connected to both platforms, a new customer entry in your CRM creates a matching Project in CompanyCam. Upload and tag your best photo with NJReview, and once the job, proposal, or invoice is marked complete in your CRM, NiceJob automatically enters that customer into a review campaign using the most recently tagged photo.

Sending review invites without a connected CRM

No connected CRM? You can still trigger review invites directly from CompanyCam.

  1. Create a Project in CompanyCam and upload your photos.

  2. Tag your best photo with NJReview. The photo, along with any saved customer contact information, imports to your NiceJob Stories page.

  3. Click Get a review under the story. If the customer's contact information was already saved in the Project, the invite goes out in one click. If not, add the customer's contact information to enroll them in the review campaign.

Sharing your reviews and photos

Once a customer leaves a review through the CompanyCam integration, it links to their imported photo on your Stories page. If you've installed NiceJob's Stories widget on your website, the review and photo publish there automatically. You can also share reviews and photos to your social channels, either automatically or through manual selection — see how to share reviews on social media.

FAQs

What happens if I tag the wrong photo in CompanyCam?

Tagging the wrong photo in CompanyCam can be corrected by removing the NJReview tag and tagging a different photo in the same Project. This replaces the photo in NiceJob with the new one. If you remove the tag without tagging a replacement, the original photo stays in NiceJob and has to be deleted manually from the Stories page.

If I don't have a connected CRM, when does my customer's contact info reach NiceJob?

Your customer's contact info reaches NiceJob when you tag a photo with NJReview, as long as it's already saved in the CompanyCam Project. If it isn't saved yet, you can add it after the photo imports, and NiceJob updates the customer's record too.

What if I have more than one Project for the same customer?

Multiple Projects for the same customer are supported — NiceJob attaches the photo from your most recently tagged Project to the review invite.

How many photos can I tag per Project?

Only 1 photo, the most recently tagged one, attaches to each review invite. You can still tag multiple photos in a Project to import them to the Stories page for use on your website and social channels.

Can I connect this integration from the mobile app?

You set up the NiceJob integration in a web browser. You can't connect it from the CompanyCam mobile app.
