Adding Date/Time and GPS Coordinate Stamps to Photos

Learn how to turn on automatic date, time, and GPS location stamps for photos captured in the CompanyCam mobile app.

Date/time and GPS stamps add the exact time, date, and location to the corner of every photo you take, giving you built-in proof of when and where each photo was captured. Turn the setting on once, and every photo you take from then on gets stamped automatically.

This feature is only available on the mobile app.

Turn on stamps from your settings

Important: This setting is User-specific. Each User needs to turn on Date/Time and GPS stamps in their own account for the stamps to appear on their photos.

  1. Tap your User Icon at the top of the Home Screen.

  2. Tap the Settings Icon.

  3. Tap Camera under Preferences.

  4. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and toggle on Stamp date and time and/or Stamp GPS coordinates. The toggles turn blue when active.

Turn on stamps from the camera view

  1. Open a Project and tap the Camera Icon to open the camera view.

  2. Tap the Settings Icon in the upper-right corner.

  3. Tap Stamp Lat/Long and Stamp Date/Time. Both turn blue when active.

Once turned on, the stamps appear at the top of your camera view to confirm they're active. Every photo you take from this User's account will have the date, time, and GPS coordinates stamped in the bottom right corner.

FAQs

How do I remove date and time or GPS stamps from a photo?

Date and time or GPS stamps can't be removed once they've been added to a photo. Turning off the setting only stops new photos from being stamped — it won't affect photos you've already taken. Cropping a photo is the only way to visually remove a stamp, though the original, stamped photo stays in your account.

Does turning on stamps affect my whole team?

Turning on stamps only affects your own account. Each User needs to turn the setting on individually for stamps to appear on their own photos.
