The CompanyCam Chrome extension lets you pull photos straight from your CompanyCam Projects into any other website that accepts file uploads — no downloading and re-uploading required.
This feature is only available on the web app.
How the integration works
Once installed, the Chrome Extension will open up a CompanyCam pop-up on websites you've enabled it on each time you upload a file. From there, you can select the Project you'd like to upload photos from, select your photos, and select Upload, and they should be added to the website you're working with.
Installing the extension
Note: Admins can connect and use the Chrome Extension.
Go to the CompanyCam extension listing in the Chrome Web Store.
Click Add to Chrome, then click Add extension when Chrome asks you to confirm. The extension installs and its icon appears in your browser toolbar.
Click the CompanyCam icon in your browser toolbar, then click Sign In With OAuth.
Enter your CompanyCam email address and password, then click Authorize. Once authorized, the extension is signed in and ready to use on any website.
Important: If you don't see the CompanyCam icon in your browser toolbar, click the Extensions (puzzle piece) icon and pin CompanyCam so it's always visible.
Uploading photos to other websites
Repeat these steps for each website where you want to upload CompanyCam photos.
On the website, click the CompanyCam extension icon and enable it.
Go to the attachments or upload section of that website — wherever you'd normally add photos.
Click Select a File (or the site's equivalent upload button). The CompanyCam extension will open automatically.
Search for and open the Project you need, then select the photos you want to upload — hold Shift to select a range, or Cmd (Mac) / Ctrl (Windows) and click to select several individual photos. Once selected, click Upload.
Confirm the upload if the website prompts you to. The photos are now part of that record.
