Record and Upload Video

Videos are a great way to show off more of your work and communicate effectively. Learn how below!

Before you start

Plan Requirements:

  • This feature is available on select plans. If you’re interested in access, our team is available to help walk you through your options.

Permission Role:

  • All User Permissions Roles can record and upload Videos.

Platform Availability:

  • Recording and uploading videos is available on both the web and mobile apps.

On the web

  1. Go into the Project you'd like to add a video to.

  2. Select the + Upload Photos Button.

  3. Make sure the video you'd like to upload is less than 5 minutes if you're on Pro and less than 10 minutes if you're on Premium or Elite.

  4. Drag and drop or click within the box, choose the file on your computer's hard drive, and select Open.

Once you have the video uploaded, you and your team can tag and comment on it here as well!

In the app

Record in CompanyCam

  1. Head to the Camera View as you normally would when taking a photo.

  2. Select the Project you'd like to add a video to.

  3. Tap Video at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Allow CompanyCam to use your device's microphone if this is the first time using the video feature.

  5. Press the Record Button in the middle of your screen to capture video.

  6. Go between capturing videos and photos as needed.

  7. Once you're done capturing photos and videos, select Done.

Upload from camera roll

  1. Go into the Project you'd like to add a video to.

  2. Tap the + Icon within the Photos Section of the Project.

  3. Select Upload Photos.

  4. Next, choose Select Photos Manually.

  5. Find the video you’d like to upload (Make sure the video falls within the criteria listed above).

  6. Once you've selected the video you need, tap Done.

  7. On the Confirm Upload page, Tag your video (if needed) and then Upload Photos.

FAQs

What video resolution is supported?

All plans support 4K resolution videos.

How is the date determined for videos uploaded from outside the app?

Videos uploaded (not captured in-app) will display the upload date, not the original capture date.
