Renaming Downloaded Photos Using Tags

Learn how to use Tags to rename your photos when you download them from CompanyCam.

Tags let you rename your photos automatically when you download them, so you don't have to manually rename a folder of files after every job. This article covers how to tag your photos and download them with names that actually mean something.

This feature is only available on the web app.

On the web

  1. Sign in to CompanyCam on any web browser.

  2. Find the photos you want to download within your Photos Feed or in a Project.

  3. Select at least 2 photos (renaming will not work with a single photo) by clicking the Square Icon in the top-left corner of the photo or mass-selecting photos by clicking on the square to the left of the date.

  4. (Optional) If you need to tag your photos now, you can click Actions at the top of the screen and click Tag. This will tag every photo.

  5. Click Actions at the top of the screen and select Download.

  6. Click Download Modified. Your downloaded photos should show up in your Downloads folder in a .zip file. When you unzip the file and open it to view your photos, each photo should now be named as its tag from CompanyCam.
