HighLevel (GHL) runs the CRM and marketing side of a job, and CompanyCam captures the photo documentation once a crew is on site. The CompanyCam app for HighLevel adds CompanyCam actions to GHL's workflow builder, so a workflow you already run on leads, appointments, or opportunities can also create and manage CompanyCam Projects, photos, and Users. This article covers installing the app, building a workflow, and what syncs.
This feature is only available on the web app.
How the integration works
You connect CompanyCam to HighLevel from the HighLevel Marketplace, where the CompanyCam app adds a set of actions and one trigger to HighLevel's workflow builder. This isn't an automatic, always-on sync — installing the app doesn't connect or sync anything on its own. Nothing happens in CompanyCam until you build a HighLevel workflow and add a CompanyCam action to it.
A HighLevel workflow you build can call CompanyCam actions to create and update Projects, add photos and documents, and organize work with tags, labels, and groups. The only information that flows back to HighLevel is a single trigger that fires a workflow when a new User is created in CompanyCam — CompanyCam photos, documents, Pages, and Checklists stay in CompanyCam and don't sync back into HighLevel.
Setting up the integration
Installing the CompanyCam app
Note: Admins and Managers can connect CompanyCam with HighLevel.
Log in to HighLevel, then open the Marketplace.
Search for CompanyCam, then open the app listing.
Click Install.
Follow the prompts to connect your CompanyCam account.
When prompted, log in to CompanyCam and authorize the connection.
Installing the app doesn't connect or sync anything on its own. Nothing happens in CompanyCam until you build a workflow in HighLevel and add a CompanyCam action to it.

Building a workflow
A common setup is creating a CompanyCam project as soon as a lead books an appointment.
Open Automation > Workflows in HighLevel, then select the workflow you want to add CompanyCam to, or create a new one.
Choose the trigger that should start it (for example, a booked appointment).
Click + to add an action.
Search for CompanyCam, then select Create Project.
Map the customer name and address from the HighLevel trigger to the CompanyCam Project fields.
Optionally, add an Add Project Label action to the same workflow (for example, to label the Project "New Estimate").
Save and publish the workflow.
Note: Field mapping options depend on which fields your HighLevel workflow has available at the point the action runs. If a field isn't populated in HighLevel yet, it won't populate in CompanyCam.
If you manage multiple HighLevel sub-accounts, you can build a CompanyCam workflow once and save it as a snapshot to deploy across your other sub-accounts instead of rebuilding it each time.
Choosing which CompanyCam action to use
Beyond Create Project, HighLevel workflows can call any of these CompanyCam actions:
Projects — Create Project, Find Project, Update Project
Documentation — Add Photo In Project, Upload Document, Add Project Comment
Organization — Add Project Label; Create Tag, Get Tag, Update Tag, Delete Tag; Create Group, Get Group, Update Group, Delete Group
Users — Create User, Get User, Update User, Delete User
HighLevel can also trigger a workflow of its own using User Created, which fires whenever a new User is created in CompanyCam.
Note: Running a workflow that always calls Create Project more than once for the same job can create duplicate Projects. Add a Find Project action first to check for an existing match.
FAQ
What doesn't sync between CompanyCam and HighLevel?
What doesn't sync between CompanyCam and HighLevel?
Existing CompanyCam Projects don't sync into HighLevel, and CompanyCam photos, documents, Pages, and Checklists don't sync into HighLevel either. Only new activity that runs through a workflow you build moves between the two platforms — nothing from before you set up that workflow is affected.
How do I disconnect the integration?
How do I disconnect the integration?
To disconnect the integration, remove or disable the CompanyCam action in your HighLevel workflow, or turn the workflow off. To fully remove the app, go to Marketplace > Manage Apps in HighLevel, find CompanyCam, and uninstall it.
Either way, Projects, photos, and other records already created in CompanyCam aren't affected or removed. To reconnect, follow the setup steps above and re-add the CompanyCam action to your workflow.
Will running a workflow twice create duplicate projects?
Will running a workflow twice create duplicate projects?
It can, if your workflow always calls Create Project. Use the Find Project action first to check whether a matching project already exists before creating a new one.
