Once your CompanyCam and monday.com accounts are connected, the integration handles the heavy lifting. Projects are created automatically from monday.com board items, photos and Files sync back in real time, and your board stays updated as work progresses. Your office and field stay on the same page without anyone having to chase documentation.
This integration is available on select plans and is only available on the web app.
How it works
When you set up a new item on a linked monday.com board and trigger the event your team configured, CompanyCam automatically creates a matching Project labeled "monday.com." From there, any photos, videos, or Files you capture in CompanyCam sync back to the Files column on that board, and a direct link to the CompanyCam Project can be added to the monday.com item for one-click access.
Any changes made later to the Name/Title, Person, or Address columns in monday.com will automatically update the matching Project in CompanyCam.
Create a New Project from monday.com
Log in to your monday.com account and go to your connected workspace.
Select the board you linked, either from the left-hand menu or directly in the workspace.
Click New Customer Name, + Add Customer Name, or whatever custom field name your team set up, to create a new row.
Fill in the required fields you configured during setup, including the address and any assigned person.
Set the event trigger your team configured (for example, changing status to "Working on it"). This trigger is what tells CompanyCam to create the new Project. Without it, the Project won't be created.
Upload Photos and Files in CompanyCam
Open CompanyCam and find the new Project (it will be labeled "monday.com").
Start uploading photos, videos, and Files as you normally would.
See synced content in monday.com
As long as your linked board has a Files column, anything you upload in CompanyCam will automatically appear there too.
FAQs
Why didn't a Project get created in CompanyCam after I added a new item to my board?
Why didn't a Project get created in CompanyCam after I added a new item to my board?
A project is only created when the event trigger your team configured actually fires (for example, changing Status to "Working on it"). Double-check that the trigger condition was met, and that you filled in the required fields on the board item.
Can I sync more than one monday.com board at a time?
Can I sync more than one monday.com board at a time?
Yes. You can link multiple boards to your CompanyCam workspace, and each linked board can have its own mapping and event trigger.
Will editing a board item after the Project is created update anything in CompanyCam?
Will editing a board item after the Project is created update anything in CompanyCam?
Only the Name/Title, Person, and Address columns sync updates back to the matching CompanyCam project. Changes to other columns won't affect the project.
Do photos and files sync in both directions?
Do photos and files sync in both directions?
Photos, videos, and files you upload in CompanyCam sync back to the Files column in monday.com, as long as that board has a Files column and it was selected as the destination during setup. Files added directly in monday.com don't sync into CompanyCam.
What happens if my board doesn't have a Files column?
What happens if my board doesn't have a Files column?
Photos, videos, and files won't sync back to monday.com. You'll need to add a Files column and update your board mapping for that content to appear there.
Can I set this up from the CompanyCam mobile app?
Can I set this up from the CompanyCam mobile app?
No. Setup and configuration have to happen in a web browser, though you can still upload photos and files from the CompanyCam mobile app once a project exists.
