A Price Book gives your team a central list of pre-built line items to pull from when you build Proposals. Instead of typing prices and descriptions from scratch every time, you standardize your offerings, and any markup or tax setting you apply carries over automatically wherever you use the item.
This feature is in Early Access, and managing Price Book line items is only available on the web app.
On the web
Creating line items
Note: Only Admin and Manager roles can create, edit, and manage Price Book line items. Standard and Restricted roles can add existing line items to a Proposal.
Click Price Book under the Sales tab in the left-hand navigation menu.
Click + Add Item.
Add a Name, Unit cost, and Unit Type for the line item. Description is optional.
Set a Markup percentage if you mark up this item, and toggle on Non-Taxable Item if it shouldn't be taxed.
Click Add Item to save it to your Price Book.
Note: Markup and Non-Taxable status set on a Price Book item carry over automatically when you add that item to an Invoice. Editing the line item on the Invoice doesn't change the original Price Book item. Proposals apply markup and tax to the whole document rather than to each line, so those settings don't carry into a Proposal.
Saving a line item from a Proposal
Note: All Users can save line items from a Proposal to the Price Book. Only Admins and Managers can edit or delete items once they're in the Price Book.
Open a Project and click Sales, then open a Proposal and go to the Line Items section.
Click the line item you want to save, then toggle on Save to Price Book.
Click Save Item. If your Price Book already has an item with the same name, you'll be asked to rename it before saving.
Editing and managing line items
Click Price Book under the Sales Tab in the left-hand navigation menu.
Find the line item you want to update and click the 3 Dot Icon next to it.
Click Edit to update the item, or Delete to remove it.
To remove every item added through a CSV import at once, click Delete all imported items, then confirm. This keeps any items you added by hand and only removes imported ones.
Important: Deleting all imported items is permanent. There's no undo.
Importing a Price Book with a CSV
Click Import from CSV.
Select a CSV file.
Review how CompanyCam matched your CSV columns to the Price Book fields: Item name, Description, Unit cost, and Unit. Prices are read as dollars.
Click Confirm & Import.
Important: If a column shows as "Not detected," the import fails. Rename your CSV column headers to match the Price Book fields exactly, then try again.

Saving a line item from a Proposal
Note: All Users can save Line Items from a Proposal to the Price Book. Only Admins and Managers can edit or delete items once they're in the Price Book.
Open a Project and tap Sales, then open a Proposal and scroll to the Line Items section.
Tap the line item you want to save, then toggle on Save to price book.
Tap Save Item.

Markup and Non-Taxable status carry over automatically when you add a Price Book item to an Invoice. Editing that line on the Invoice doesn't change the saved Price Book item. Proposals work differently: markup and tax are set once for the whole Proposal, so a Price Book item's markup and tax settings don't carry over there.
