Before you start
Text snippets are not available on the Basic plan. Upgrade your plan to take advantage this feature.
To use Text Snippets you need to have the Admin or Manager role. If you don't have that role, ask an Admin on your company's account for permission; here's what they'll need.
You can create Snippets from a Photo Description or a Report. We've broken down both ways on both the web and in the app.
Create a Text Snippet on the web
From a Photo Description
Log into CompanyCam and navigate to a Project with photos you need to work with.
Click on a photo in the Project to view it.
To the right of the photo, you'll see Description. Click Edit or click into the text area.
While in the editor for the Description click Use Text Snippet from the options.
Already have a Description in the photo you want to use as a Snippet? Click Create new text snippet with content.
In the pop-up click + Create New.
Enter the title of the Snippet and all the details. Click Save when finished.
From a Report
Log into CompanyCam and navigate to the Report you want to work in.
In the Section Summary or in a photo text box click on the text area.
Click Use Text Snippet.
Already have text for the photo you want to use as a Snippet? Click Create new text snippet with content.
In the pop-up click + Create New.
Enter the title of the Snippet and all the details. Click Save when finished.
Create a Text Snippet in the app
From a Photo Description
Open the CompanyCam app and navigate to one of your Projects.
From within the Project, tap on a photo to view the photo.
Tap Add a description.
Tap Snippets to access Snippets.
Tap + Create New Snippet at the bottom of the menu.
Type in the title and the body of the Snippet. Tap Save when finished.
From a Report
Open the CompanyCam app and navigate to one of your Projects.
Within the Project, open the Reports Tab and tap into your Report.
Tap into a Section Summary or a Photo Description area.
Tap on Snippets.
Tap + Create New Snippet at the bottom of the menu.
When editing a Text Snippet add your information then tap Save.
After creating text snippets, you can manage your saved snippets by editing or deleting any snippets you like!
